ive got short sightedness.
this question has always been in my mind for a loooong time, ever since i can picture myself to be in the labour room.
am i going to wear specs when im in labour or with my contact lens on or just go in with a blurred vision??!
situation 1, with specs on-
wouldn't it be so messy?! the screamings, the perspirings, the crazy movements here & there due to the contractions pain... i will be damn fugly ugly with the specs on la! and my first TAN FAMILY photo?! it will be a cutie baby with very happy & handsome daddy BUT 1 ugly fugly mummy with the specs, messy hair & bad eye bags. =x
situation 2, no specs, no lens-
with a blurry vision can be good when you are in labour... that will means you can't see that clearly of the machines & gadgets in the room. those equipments will just scare me off. BUT, cant! it will means i cant see my baby clearly too!!!
situation 3, lens on-
this will be an ideal option! no specs & can see ur bb clearly!
adding on to the spectables issue, pearlyn got even better suggestion!
MAKE-UP!
she said she wouldn't want her girl to be scare off by the ugly mom! so shes gonna apply make-up before she's pushed into the labour... hahaha.. she damn funny la.
oh yah..!! i will look ugly too without concealer to cover my super bad bags!
i want to look pretty too in my first Tan Family Photo!
hmmm... hahaha
i got no experience of the above u had mention. i had tried giving birth natural for my first boy, suffer pain for 3 days, yet stil cant give birth naturally, but during my last day of trying, with drips and gagets around mi, i jus lay there quietly n endure e pain as much as i can. all nurse n doc keep coming in to check on mi, n say i can really tahan pain, if other mummies they already scream like hell liao.... hahahha.... relax, dun think so much to scare urself, giving birth is not as scary as u think.
ReplyDeleteu are funny la girl. come to think of it, i wore glasses when i delivered chloe. can't remember why? i think it was advised to do so by the nurses (in case i went on to 20 over hours of labour).
ReplyDeleteand u also just reminded me to pack some lenses along in my hospital bag :D
I didn't take any photo in the labour ward. Everything happened so fast. I was throwing up from the side effects of the epidural and before I knew it, I was whizzed back to the normal ward.
ReplyDeleteBut I DID put on make-up for friends and relatives visiting. hehehe
pinky: but i still think giving birth is a nightmare! haha
ReplyDeletedewi: so maybe you will want to learn from emily too. put on lens & make-up on!
emily: we are still the vain ladies... haha
conclusion is i will want to bring my lens & make-up kit!! i want to look pretty pretty!! haha
HAHAHA! this post is so funny!
ReplyDeleteWhen the contraction comes, i dont think u have the mood to make up or put on lenses!
They way u go in, will be the way you give birth. Thats for me, i no mood to do anything...
